Halloween is just around the corner, which means everyone is starting to buy, make or prepare their costumes. Or maybe you’re still stressing over what you and your friends should wear. Instead of returning to the good old Christmas outfits from Wild girls (it’s a classic, but you need to shake things up), here are some group costume ideas that you and your friends could go for this upcoming Halloween.

The emotions from Inside Out
This is an easily recognizable costume that even those who are not fans of the movies will know. Plus, it gives you an excuse to act as the mood for the day at work. Am I really going to be reprimanded for smashing my laptop when I embody Anger? will i? Someone is not into Halloween festivities.
For a fun little twist, consider making the sentiments from a millennial too. One of them is definitely Apathy.
Benefits: Your group of friends definitely embodies one of the emotions from the movie
Con: The face/body painting
The kitchen staff from The bear
If you’re looking for an easy costume that’s still a great pop culture reference, make your white T-shirt and blue apron embody the crew of The bear. It’s easy enough to buy all the items you need (it’s really just a white shirt and a blue apron). If you want to look a little more like Carmy, consider some fake tattoos on your arms. To really sell it, yell profanities at your group of friends while referring to them as chef, yelling “BACK” and “CORNER” when appropriate.
Advantages: Easy on the wallet
Disadvantages: Lots of swearing and trauma
The Roys from Succession
Yes, I know Succession ended last year, but I think a lot of people, myself included, are still not over it, making it a viable costume idea. It’s another easy costume to put together since it’s really just a suit, but it’s also a challenge. People might just think you came to the party in a suit. You and your group of friends will have to make yourselves distinctly Roy-esque. Maybe you can crawl on the floor and tuck.
Advantages: You probably already have an outfit in your closet
Disadvantages: Make it clear that you are Roy’s and not just wearing office clothes. Also profanity and trauma again
Taylor Swift and her dancers
There are definitely a bunch of Taylors this year along with Taylors and Travises as a couple costume. But as a group of friends, consider being Taylor and her dancers in The Eras Tour. Bonus points if you prepare and full number from the concert. Even more bonus points if you dress up like Travis in a tuxedo.
Advantages: Swifties will love it and no one will dare disagree with Swifties
Disadvantages: Costumes may not be easy to come by
Characters from Bridgerton
No sorrows and no prayers will be called for when you and your friends strut into the party in your Regency-era costumes. Bring on the glitz and glam Bridgerton and make everyone else swoon with jealousy knowing there’s no way they can top what you and your friends have done. Just don’t recreate the mirror scene from this season, at least not in public.
Benefits: There is no doubt that you will definitely stand out in the crowd
Disadvantages: The costumes are likely to be expensive and quite uncomfortable
Little Antonio and his parents from SNL
Ariana Grande’s latest guest hosting effort on SNL was another comedic triumph that proved the artist really should be doing more comedy since that’s where she started after all. There were many iconic skits on the show, but perhaps the most iconic is when she played Little Antonio, who lacks certain things to make his voice louder, thanks to his parents “twisting” them off. The hair is also an absolute banger.
Advantages: Those who get it will get a “bit-a-twist” of hilarity
Disadvantages: Your audience must be familiar with SNL
Agatha Harkness and her coven of witches
Is dressing up as a witch for Halloween too much? Maybe, but these are the MCU’s latest additions to their witch roster. In addition, the witches wear different clothes when facing the trials of the witch’s path, giving you a variety of outfits to choose from. Personally, the glam rock outfits are the ones to go for.
Advantages: Witches and Halloween – it’s the perfect costume
Disadvantages: No one is going to be as hot as Aubrey Plaza
