CINCINNATI — Joe Burrow just finished his first regular NFL training camp. He discussed how he feels about the Amazon Prime broadcast booth on Thursday, plus good signs about the Bengals’ fresh offensive ideas.
Cincinnati has its quarterback ready to roll for the regular season in just over two weeks.
“Yeah, I feel good,” Burrow remarked to Al Michaels and Kirk Herbstreit. “This is the biggest, fastest and strongest I’ve been since I’ve been in the league, so it’s been nice not really having any setbacks, being able to maintain the strength that I built in the offseason through training camp and a week before to get our bodies in order You’re always a little sore after training camp, so a week to get our bodies in order and then it’s time to go.
Whether it’s injury or COVID, Burrow has never been able to fine-tune the offense over a full NFL training camp. He’s been navigating it with a new-look staff for the past month.
“Yeah, it’s been great. (Offensive coordinator Dan) Pitcher brought a lot of great energy and he’s really taken ownership of that role,” Burrow said. “We’ve got some new hires that we’ve brought in as well. It’s nice to get a new perspective and some new ideas in the building when that happens. Justin Rascati coming from Minnesota has been great as well. So all of our things marry well.”
That versatility could unlock a Super Bowl title for Cincinnati.
