Zach Braff, Donald Faison and Sarah Chalke are all ready to restore their grades to restart of ScrummABC is released as part of the 2025-2026 season.
The beloved medical sitcom discussed in 2001 at NBC before moving to ABC from 2008 to 2010.
Restart’s official summary reads: “JD (Braff) & Turk (Faison) scrubs up for the first time in a long time – medicine has changed, trainees have changed, but their bromance has stood the test of the time. Grades new and old navigating in the water in Sacred Heart with laughter, heart and some surprises along the way.”

Last August Lawrence told exclusively The independent That a reboot would arrive in “six months to a year” when the show’s creative team felt they had “stories to tell.”
The author producer knew the idea that the reunion would take the form of a movie and said, “I don’t want to make a movie. It sounds like a lot of work!”
He continued: “We’ve talked about it. We spend all time with each other in real life, but everyone is so talented from the show that they all work.
“We have really started to entertain the idea of getting the band together again because we all feel we have some stories to tell. People in the medical community are heroes right now. They certainly don’t do it for the money! It’s been a crazy rill.”
Lawrence later expanded on his thoughts of reboot and said that the most difficult part of recreating the dynamics between the protagonists is that they are aged, so their “clumsy youthful” will have changed.
“The most difficult leaves that Zach and Donald have aged,” Lawrence said. “People still have this attachment and love for the moofy youthfulness. But if I saw two guys in the late 40s/50s to be provided” the world’s most giant doctor, “and carry each other all the time, I would go,” what f *** is going, “you know?”
