The Île-de-France Region and Bpifrance launch the “Île-de-France Ecological Transition Loan”, intended to support VSE-SMEs in their ecological transition
Saint-Ouen, February 1, 2024 – Valérie Pécresse, President of the Île-de-France Region and Nicolas Dufourcq, CEO of Bpifrance, launch the “Île-de-France Ecological Transition Loan”, in collaboration with the Order of Experts Revisorer. This new system will make it possible to allocate €20 million in funding to VSEs/SMEs with the aim of supporting almost 150 regional companies by 2024.
The Île-de-France region is mobilizing new resources to launch the “Île-de-France Ecological Transition Loan” system. This loan finances VSEs/SMEs in the region that want to make investments that promote the energy and environmental transformation (TEE) of their activity.
Prior to its request for an “Île-de-France ecological conversion loan”, the company must have carried out an energy or environmental diagnosis referenced by the region or Bpifrance. The latter will allow the company to receive personalized support based on a detailed analysis of its ecological transition problems and a detailed action plan to achieve its climate goals.
Granted at a fixed preferential rate thanks to the intervention of the region, the “Ecological transitional loan of Île-de-France” is aimed at VSE-SMEs in all sectors of activity that have been in existence for more than three years. The amount of loans awarded is between 10,000 and 500,000 euros. Loans of less than 50,000 euros benefit from a completely dematerialized process.
With a term of five to seven years with a repayment deferral of one to two years, this subsidized loan is granted without taking guarantees of the assets of the company or the assets of the trustee. However, co-financing in the same amount as the “Organic Transition Loan” is mandatory from financial partners.
This loan is financed by the Île-de-France region. Through the “Île-de-France Ecological Transition Loan”, the region and Bpifrance intend to support regional companies that want to make investments that enable them to initiate or accelerate the ecological and energy transformation of their activity. The strong mobilization of auditors with their clients makes it possible to secure the entire system. Excluded: self-employed entrepreneurs, sole proprietorships, SCIs (with the exception of those with real estate assets leased to a self-entitled enterprise whose partners own the SCI’s capital), brokerage companies, finance, property development and rental companies, agricultural enterprises or those in forest – and the forestry sector, whose turnover is greater than 750,000 euros, with the exception of forestry companies.
For loans between €10 and €50k, the loan amount is less than or equal to the amount of the borrower’s equity and quasi-equity.
