Chinese startup Agibot, founded by a former Huawei employee, officially launches 5 new multi-functional humanoid robots. From household to space exploration, they have ambitions.

We all have in mind those science fiction movies or series where we chat with an android as if with a work colleague. Considering the progress regarding autonomous humanoid robotsis soon a reality. Meanwhile, there are more and more of these machines within companies. The car manufacturer BMW uses it to make its cars and it is quite amazing. The same for Amazon, which employs nearly a million in its warehouses. In addition to that, models show great capacity in home care such as that of 1X.
It is therefore not surprising that other robots of the same type make headlines. This time they are themAgibot that is in the spotlight. Founded by Peng Zhihui, a former Huaweithe company presented its first creation in August 2023, HIGH A1. One later she returns with not one but 5 new machines with impressive possibilities on paper. Let’s start with the star of the group: Expedition A2 (Or Yuanzheng A2).
Chinese company unveils a family of multifunctional humanoid robots
Expedition A2 is a two-legged 1.75 m tall and weighs 55 kg. Thanks to its sensors and integrated artificial intelligence, it is able to understand sound, visual information and even text. His specialty is precision work. He can, for example, take a sewing needle and thread it in one of the 4 holes on a clothes button.
Its uses are multiple: handling, personal service (e.g. pushing a wheelchair or serving plates)… But it can also be planned for a space mission. For example, controlling a vehicle on another planet.
