Quentin Danel had already launched a call for volunteers to photograph a person over 70, naked, in the forest. The photographer is launching a new casting call to pose in the simplest camera on the edge of a Jura lake.
Just under a year ago, he succeeded in his artistic challenge: photographing a person over 70 years old, completely naked, among the trees. A 75-year-old actress responded to her call for volunteers, and the shooting took place in a forest near Orgelet (Jura). Quentin Danel is at it again, looking for candidates for his next “nudescape” challenge (this photo movement that combines nude and landscape).
The Jura photographer launches a new casting on his social networks on Friday, August 16, 2024. Today he is looking for motivated models, regardless of gender or age, as long as they are “ready to pose naked in the cold”.
“I took this series of photos with Claire (Claire Guillon, editor’s note) and the experience went very well, he entrusts France 3 Franche-Comté. I works more and more in series of photos.” The actress has also devoted an entire chapter to this adventure in the book she has just written, “A woman who feels good”, published by BoD.
I waited a year before relaunching the project. I didn’t want to mess up! You have to find the right place, the right model, the right story to tell and then have the right weather and atmosphere.

The photographer went to the game and hopes to sign once again “pictures that make sense”. He had dealt with the subject of aging by creating “a contrast between people and nature”. He always will do “the parallel between the evolving body and the changing nature” but he will approach this question from a different angle. “Time is not the only thing that makes a body develop”he explains. He will tell the story of a body that has been transformed “as can be the case after a pregnancy, the disappearance of a limb, the appearance of scars, changes in the body after a pathology or a life challenge”.
Society has formatted us and imposed on us all the image of what a beautiful body should be. I want to review this definition of beauty and that my images lead to more openness and tolerance. This is what we need today: to be able to go beyond appearances!

The Jura resident has already chosen the interior design. It will be a lake that he keeps secret. “The pictures that I have published on my Facebook page show the atmosphere, the atmosphere that I am looking for for this series, he specifies. Last time I wanted the sun as a star at dawn, now it’s the fog that will accompany the image, which will definitely be in black and white.” Watch out for the brave, ready to take the leap!
